Enamel pins can be worn on jackets, hats, backpacks, bags, purses, scarves, and lanyards. They can also be displayed on decorative pin boards, cork boards, or in display cases to showcase your collection.
Hard enamel pins have a smooth, polished surface where the enamel and metal are completely flush, giving them a sleek, premium look. Soft enamel pins have recessed enamel with raised metal lines, creating the classic pin style. Both are durable, but soft enamel pins are usually more affordable, while hard enamel pins are a higher-end option with a higher cost.
“Lapel pin” is a general term for any pin worn on clothing. “Enamel pins” are a specific type of lapel pin made with colored enamel fills and metal outlines. All enamel pins are lapel pins, but not all lapel pins are enamel pins.
